01 About

Curiosity, applied at scale

For the past decade, Greg's work has centered on one question: how do organizations absorb AI and emerging technology and turn it into advantage?

His academic home is UC Berkeley's College of Engineering, where he is Faculty Director of Professional Education and a Lecturer. He is also a Distinguished Teaching Fellow at Berkeley Haas and Berkeley Law. At Stanford he has taught across the Graduate School of Business, Economics, and Management Science & Engineering, and at HEC Paris he leads the Digital Transformation course for Executive MBAs and executive education.

He hosts unSILOed, a podcast with more than 600 episodes of conversation across disciplines. It is the same range he brings to AI strategy, connecting technology with finance, law, and organizational design.

Greg has worked alongside executives at more than 100 companies and governments, and has taught in over 30 countries, bringing the frameworks, tools, and perspectives leaders need to navigate accelerating technological change.

Beyond the university, he advises U.S. pension funds, including teachers' and public-employee retirement systems, and is an active angel investor and advisor to startups in AI, fintech, and people operations. His research sits at the intersection of law, innovation, and the use of data in rapidly changing industries.

02 Expertise

Where disciplines meet

01

AI Strategy & Digital Transformation

How organizations build the resilience to absorb successive technology waves, and why culture and data assets matter more than algorithms.

02

Fintech & the Future of Finance

How AI, blockchain, and venture finance are reshaping banking and capital markets, and what regulators will do about it.

03

Data-Driven Decision Making

Building data strategies, managing data science teams, and applying people analytics and workforce science to organizations that experiment and learn.

04

Innovation & Disruption

Platform economics, the sharing economy, creativity and design thinking, venture finance, and how incumbents adapt to disruptive forces.

05

06

The Future of Education

AI in learning, interdisciplinary thinking, the evolving MBA, and why curiosity is the most important skill of all.

Companies have been using artificial intelligence since day one. The real differentiator is an organization's ability to integrate new tools seamlessly into their operations.

03 Speaking

Keynotes that connect the dots

Not another "AI is coming" talk. As a keynote speaker on AI transformation for companies, Greg gives executive audiences a working playbook drawn from AI transformations at 100+ organizations, 600+ podcast conversations, and two decades in executive education.

Built to Absorb: Designing Organizations That Metabolize AI

Why most AI initiatives stall at the pilot stage, and the architecture, incentives, and culture of companies that turn each new technology wave into compounding advantage.

Your Data Is the Moat: Strategy When Algorithms Are Free

Every competitor can rent the same models. What they can't rent is your proprietary data, your feedback loops, and an organization built to learn from them.

Money Moves Fast, Trust Moves Slow: AI & the Future of Finance

What AI actually changes in banking, payments, and capital markets, and why "move fast and break things" fails in an industry built on trust and regulation.

From Chatbots to Colleagues: Getting a Workforce to AI Fluency

The endgame isn't a transformation program. It's every employee wielding AI as naturally as a spreadsheet. What that transition demands from leadership.
